Meramec River Prayer Journey 1999
The Meramec River flows 218 miles totally within the state of Missouri and empties into the Mississippi River south of St Louis near Arnold, Missouri. The last 40 or so miles of the river crosses the St Louis metro area from west to east. It was this area that the Lord gave Richard and Darlene Tittle as the target for their first solo opportunity to pray to see a geographical area set free of demonic strongholds through prayer.
Meramec River near St Louis
This prayer journey was aimed at removing strongholds from the Meramec River that might be related to deaths on highways and the river. We prayed at the following locations:
Pacific MO
Eureka MO
Castlewood State Park
Fenton MO
Arnold MO near the merging of the river into the Mississippi River
Pacific Missouri limestone cliffs overlooking the Meramec River
The town of Pacific was named after the Pacific Railroad that linked St Louis with the west. This is also where the major highway of Rt 66 from an earlier generation joins with the western states. The interstate highway I-44 is known for its many fatalities between here and I-270. We prayed here for this mantling of death culture and for sins against First Nations peoples and resulting curses.
Eureka Missouri Six Flags Amusement Park on the Meramec River
Castlewood State Park on Meramec River
Over many years a large number of adults and children have drowned at this location in spite of its tranquil appearance. Many prayers have been offered here to remove death structures.
Joyce Meyer Ministries in Fenton Missouri
Joyce Meyer Ministries has been a very powerful force for life in the midst of darkness in St Louis and many other places. We prayed here to bless this ministry.
Arnold Missouri Tesson River Bridge over Meramec River
We prayed in several locations near Arnold for both the Meramec and Mississippi Rivers and the businesses and homes near here. Richard and Darlene lived not too far from this location and frequently passed over this bridge. We always felt the gladness of the river for the prayers made here.
